Forever in Time, Pass it Forward

It often happens out of nowhere.

You come across an old game, see a forgotten picture, smell a familiar scent, taste homemade food, or hear a song you haven’t heard in years.

Before you know it, you’re swept into a soft flashback that isn’t necessarily a single memory, but a whole feeling from a past version of yourself. You see what’s beautiful in things that are ephemeral.

It’s love in a piece of time, and you can’t help but fall in love again.

You blink, and the feeling is over. You were sure you’d never see an end to it. What remains is both a gentle ache for a time you can’t return to, and a comforting sense of reminiscence. Nostalgia touches everyone. It carries us back to moments when life felt simpler and warmer.

Those fleeting feelings often make you pause and reflect on how far you’ve come. What you cherished, the choices you made, and the moments you savored -- all of it teaches you something about who you are now. And as you grow, you experience things you never could have imagined if you hadn’t moved forward.

As we approach the end of the year, our thoughts naturally turn to what the next year might bring. We yearn and hope for new opportunities, for growth, and for good fortune. Sometimes we’re afraid of what the future will hold.

Time is always moving forward, how you choose to embrace it is for you to decide.

It’s a gift in itself to be able to remember your glory days. Pass them on to the next generation in any way you can.

Donate, share stories, traditions, or moments that helped shape you.

Help create the moments they’ll one day look back on with the same warmth and wonder. Pass down what you cherish, and they might come to love it just as you once did.

Eventually we all wake from our nostalgic slumber and piece together the feelings and images that held us. Whether you love the good old days or brace against them, what’s important is today is good.
