A Note of Thanks

I have been a volunteer nearly my entire life. From being my brother’s "Team Sister" on the sidelines to rolling silverware for school fundraisers, from co-leading a Daisy troop to tutoring kids—the list goes on. Volunteering is woven into my identity.

So when I founded Start 1 Spark, there was never a question of whether volunteers would be part of our journey. The only question was: What can’t they do?

Our mission—to ignite the potential of disadvantaged middle school students—is about more than just skills and experiences. It’s about building stronger school communities, where every student feels supported, every educator has an ally, and every family knows they are not alone. And at the heart of that mission are you—our volunteers.

From inspiring young minds through hands-on automotive projects to amplifying our reach through social media and marketing, you are the fuel that transforms sparks into flames.

The beauty of volunteering is its inclusivity—all ages, all skills, all hearts united for a common cause.
